The Stakeholder: FOTILE
Target Users: Young tenants and families with small kitchens
This was an internship project I worked on—designing FOTILE’s third-generation integrated cooking center. When incorporating this experience into my personal project, I developed a new strategy and product design, aligning it with the company’s culture and innovation model.
Starting with the FOTILE brand, I redefined the brand concept and target users. I noticed that more young people are renting, and they need home appliances that offer greater convenience and comfort. However, most range hoods on the market are designed for homeowners with fully renovated kitchens.
To address this gap, I redesigned the range hood, creating a portable, compact, and easy-to-move desktop version, specifically tailored for young renters. This also aligns with FOTILE’s strategy of appealing to younger consumers, helping to make the brand feel more fashionable and relevant to their lifestyle.
